I am amazed by how many brides and grooms are ignorant of the fact that the groom is responsible for paying for part of the flowers. General wedding etiquette dictates that the groom is to pay for:
The Bridal Bouquet
The Mothers and Grandmothers Corsages or Nosegays
This, however, can be a touchy subject. One way to approach your future in-laws is to tell them that you have put in the flower order and ask them where the florist should send their part of the bill. If they question it, have a bridal magazine or wedding planner that lists the groom’s responsibility.
Other fees the groom pays for are the rehearsal dinner, the minister, and the honeymoon.
